We found Dennis’ web site after a general Google search. It was easy to use and easy to keep track of what we wanted to see. As first time homebuyers we really had no idea what we were looking for or how to go about it. From his website I emailed all my requests and he responded the next day with a plan. He was more than willing to work around our schedules. We preferred to do marathon house hunting sessions with 10-20 houses a day and Dennis was happy to set up appointments and spend the entire day with us. We started with the low end of our price range. Dennis was amazingly helpful and often pointed out things that we never considered or noticed: a type of roof that was particularly expensive to replace, location issues, or holes in the ceiling that in out excitement of the house hunting process we would miss. After getting a read on our preferences Dennis suggested that we up the price on our search. He mentioned that very few people buy a house at the bottom of their price range and that if we moved even $15,000 higher it would make a huge difference. It did. We had been getting very discouraged, but as soon as we upped our price the homes vastly improved and we found our comfort zone. After looking at the same home three times during three different marathon sessions we were ready to make an offer. Dennis supplied a list of people we would need after we purchase the home (lawyers, home inspectors etc.) with 5-6 contact numbers from each profession. This was extremely helpful as we knew he had used these people before and it made us far more comfortable than finding someone out of the Yellow Pages. Dennis walked us through the whole process, explained what would happen over the next while and suggested that we not lose the house over one or two thousand dollars. During the negotiations Dennis was always in our corner making sure that we were going about it the right way and has appropriate responses to their counter offers. In the end we got the house far below the asking price aat exactly what we wanted to pay for it (even after agreeing to go that extra $2000, Dennis managed to get them down to what we wanted). Working with Dennis was a pleasure and we will definitely use him to sell the home he helped us purchase.
Working with Dennis has been a very smooth and pleasurable process. My fiancé and I began searching for our first home in the summer of 2011. We found Dennis’ contact information as we were searching online. After writing him an email, he promptly replied within 24 hours, showing us he was committed right from the get-go. Throughout our search for the perfect home, Dennis was not only organized and quick to book appointments, but he also went far beyond his role as a real estate agent to help us. He gave us advice, thoughts on thing we hadn’t (as it was our first time house shopping) and truly looked out for our best interests. We waited until we found the home we wanted, and when we did a few months later, he was promptly on top of everything from negotiating to filling out all the required documents and providing us resources. And, after everything was said and done, he checked in on us to make sure we were set up for success even though at that point he really didn’t have to. We are extremely happy with our home, and we highly recommend Dennis to anyone, whether you’re new to the process or know exactly what to do. He’s a very caring, positive and professional individual who truly isn’t satisfied until you are.
Dennis proved a safe and knowledgeable advocate for us as first-time buyers. From the beginning Dennis made us feel at ease with the process of buying a home and then actively sought the best for us. We appreciated the fact that Dennis didn't push us to into buying, or to look at homes that were out of our price range. He respected the boundaries we had communicated to him.
Just a note, Dennis, to thank you for your support during the purchase of our first home. We appreciate your effort and would highly recommend you to anyone considering the purchase of their first home. It seemed like we had a million questions! It is a huge purchase and having someone like yourself with the knowledge and understanding certainly made it a much easier process. Thanks again, Dennis, and if anyone wants to contact us about our experience, please feel free to forward our email address to them. Best regards, Steve and Rhona R.
